A bill in California has been signed into effect, AB 28X, which plans to raise taxes for online retail businesses. Amazon directly opposes this bill, stating it to be unconstitutional. The tax would be directed towards revenue from ad placements on web pages. Due to this change, Amazon plans to cut ties with over twenty five thousand California based websites.
