Pizza Hut is preparing for a media review and will issue a formal request for proposals within two weeks. The company spent $217 million on media in the US in 2010. Pizza Hut began working with Interpublic Group of Cos.’ Martin Agency in 2009 and recently consolidated all of its creative and digital marketing work within the agency. It is unclear whether the company is seeking to have Interpublic handle all of its media work. WPP-owned MEC which currently manages Pizza Hut’s traditional and digital media-planning and buying duties has been invited to defend its account.
