Sr. Marketing Communications Manager

The US Central\nMarketing Organization is an integral part of the Marketing and\nOperations Group with the US Subsidiary. The mission of the US Central\nMarketing Organization is to create and deliver best-in-class direct\nmarketing communications that drive results, innovation, and\ncustomer/partner connection in order to sell more Microsoft software\nin the US market. In this role, the Sr. Marketing Communications\nManager is responsible for defining, planning and implementing direct\nresponse advertising strategy and execution in support of US\nSubsidiary business goals. In this capacity, the Sr. Marketing\nCommunications Manager will be tasked with building and delivering\ndirect response campaigns aligned against business priorities and\nrevenue goals. This position is based in Bellevue, WA.
Specific\nRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•Development of direct response\ncampaigns and programs to drive results against subsidiary revenue,\nlead generation and digital engagement metrics. Campaigns and\nPrograms will include the development of audience targeting strategy,\ncontact plans, creative development, vehicle and media mix\nrecommendation, and forecasting and reporting results, leveraging the\nfollowing marketing communications vehicles/channels:
oDirect mail,\ne-mail
oDigital advertising, search engine marketing and search engine\noptimization
oMedia planning for direct response
oEmerging media,\nsocial media, word of mouth, mobile
•Management of assigned\nagency, including:
oDay-to-day management of agency relationships with\nagency account team
oManagement of agency retainer\nutilization
oResponsibility for tracking and monitoring campaign\nspend, invoicing and accruals against forecast
oDrive RFP process for\nspecialty approved vendors for an assigned campaign
•Driving\nbest practices on assigned campaigns:
oDevelopment of testing\nframework within campaign activities; execution of framework and\nresponsibility for building recommendations and optimization based on\ntesting outcomes
oMonitoring of campaign performance; develop analysis\nbased on campaign performance and recommendations for optimization and\nfuture enhancements
oIntegration with broader USCMO team to align\nefforts as part of cross-subsidiary campaigns
oPublish results for use\nin monthly business review
•Presentations to USCMO management\nand other senior level managers in the US Subsidiary summarizing\ncampaign strategy and campaign impact on the business

Ideal candidate\nwill have:
•7-12 years of related experience in marketing\ncommunications disciplines, such as direct marketing, relationship\nmarketing, direct response advertising, social media, and digital\nmarketing
•Strong understanding of direct response fundamentals\nand experience in direct response campaign execution
•Experience\nwith paid, owned and earned media planning and execution, including\ne-mail and social
•Experience managing agency\nrelationships
•Ability to understand marketing data and analysis\nand develop campaign recommendations and optimizations from these\ninsights
•Ability to work cross-group and drive results across\nexternal and internal constituents
•Experience developing and\ndelivering marketing plans to senior management
•Direct response\nagency experience preferred
•Bachelor's degree required, MBA\npreferred
