Ad Sales Jobs
The advertising industry has been growing all around the world at a very quick pace and has become a crucial part of corporate marketing activities. An ad sales job opening can be an inside or an outside sales opening. Though ad sales jobs vary from employer to employer, a typical ad sales job includes identifying prospects, cold-calling them, setting appointments, traveling to prospects' locations, and selling advertising space.
Newspaper companies, magazines, periodicals, and publishing houses are the traditionally known employers who have ad sales openings. With the newly emerging concept of online marketing, however, ad sales careers have reached new heights. As is the case for many other sales jobs, there are no educational requirements to start a career in ad sales. As most ad sales prospects are corporations, it is very important for those in ad sales jobs to have good relationship-building skills.
