Advertising Assistant Jobs
An advertising assistant's primary duty is to handle administrative tasks for various people in the given department and assist his or her supervisors in numerous ways. A typical advertising assistant role involves supporting the managers or sales representatives in securing meetings; creating proposals and initial client profiles; uncovering new prospects; managing the insertion order process and assisting in keeping track of positioning and rates of advertisers for each issue; answering phones; handling expense reports and travelling arrangements; helping in preparations for sales presentations; and processing sales paperwork for the production department. An advertising assistant position may also be referred to as a receptionist, advertising coordinator, support executive, administrative assistant, etc.
An advertising assistant job opening may be available with an advertising agency, marketing agency, advertising department of a large-sized corporation, online advertising agency, SEO/SEM agency, etc. Applicants should have excellent multitasking ability, attention to detail, and an ability to use MS Word, Excel, the Internet, and email.
