Advertising Specialist Jobs

An advertising specialist is responsible for the management and execution of marketing and advertising programs, external communications, product catalogs, email campaigns, educational materials, etc. The advertising specialist works with animated graphics, third-party advertising tags, and advertising creatives; troubleshoots issues arising while campaigns are in progress; maintains relationships with clients, advertisers, third-party vendors, and internal departments; and provides customer service support to advertisers, publishers, and agencies. The advertising specialist also provides strategic analysis and insight on campaign delivery and management.
Advertising specialist openings are available with advertising/marketing agencies, Internet marketing companies, and the marketing and advertising departments of giant multinational companies. Employers typically expect specialists to have a bachelor's degree in marketing or advertising. An advertising specialist makes use of MS Word, PowerPoint, and sometimes even HTML tools, so familiarity with these programs and tools may be a prerequisite for some jobs. Beyond this, the job requires coordinating with people on several tasks at a time, so good time-management skills, multitasking ability, and flexibility are also essential.
