The companies which actively recruit for online advertising professionals are IT companies, websites, advertising agencies, search engine companies, and the like. Some employers may want applicants to have a bachelor's degree. Proficiency with the use computers and the ability to make use of online tools is essential. Web research skills may also be required for some positions.
