Advertising Consultant Jobs description
An advertising consultant is a professional who sells advertising space to businesses. An advertising consultant is responsible for achieving advertisement sales quotas in an assigned territory through prospecting, cold-calling, cross-selling, up-selling, developing/maintaining client relationships, and so on.Newspaper companies, magazines, periodicals, and publishing houses are the typical employers of advertising consultants. Traditionally, these jobs were mostly outside sales jobs; however, those agencies which are engaged in online advertising may want consultants to take up an inside sales role and close sales online or via telephone. For the most part, these openings do not require the candidates to have any specific educational requirements, although the ability to build rapport for the organization is, of course, very important. These sales jobs may be incentive-based or commission-based, but in either case, those with a natural knack for selling may well find very rewarding careers as advertising consultants.
