Title: Associate - Retail Marketing
Reports to: Director - Brand & Retail Marketing
Location: New York Office
Overview: J.Crew is looking for a highly motivated Retail Marketing Associate to partner with the Marketing team in developing and executing innovative marketing strategies—in a highly creative and measurement-focused environment. The Retail Marketing Associate will help to generate brand awareness and drive traffic, conversion and sales in J.Crew Retail Stores.
Primary responsibilities include:
*Supports and executes strategy around national (brand-driven) and local (store-driven) retail events, and offers ideas & input to improve results. *Coordinates store install, promotional signage and window messaging, working in close collaboration with visual merchandising, brand creative and brand marketing to execute monthly strategy. *Works with store operations and field teams to manage customer communication and drive excitement around high profile store conversions and remodels. *Partners in the development of a marketing plan to support and drive awareness for the College Ambassador, crewcuts programs and lease required advertising. *Supports the overall strategy for online to offline efforts, working in close collaboration with the digital marketing team. Accountable for driving email capture in retail stores. *Serves as a point person for Regional Directors and Market Leaders, fielding all questions and responding to individual requests in a timely manner. *Works with store operations and training team to schedule regular education sessions on marketing priorities (ie. store events, promotions, email capture, local outreach) *Ensures that all work adheres to budget guidelines and is measured & reported accurately. *Manages invoicing and budget execution for broader marketing team.
*Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of directly related experience in the marketing field *Experience in fashion retail marketing or similar experience preferred *Understanding of the J.Crew customer and passion for the brand *Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite *Strong ROI-focus, business and financial acumen *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Creative, out of the box thinker, self-sufficient *Strong attention to detail *Adaptability and multi-tasking capability, with solid time management *Thrive in an environment of changing situations and priorities
