Leveraging the marketing plans and value proposition work of Product and Commercial Marketing Managers, the Marketing Communications Manager executes against messaging strategy and helps develop implement, and optimize an integrated communication plan. This role works with internal and external partners to execute tradeshows/events, produce product & portfolio collateral as well as brand level campaigns that may include advertising, digital marketing, public relations, marketing automation, direct mail, trade show marketing, field marketing materials, and/or content marketing.
The Marketing Communications Manager also partners with Product Managers and Commercial Marketing Manager at every stage of the product development process from concept through product life-cycle. Working with upstream partners, this role supports turning customer insights into personas, positioning, and value propositions.
This role is responsible for identifying channels and overseeing the production of all creative assets required to implement communications plans working with internal stakeholders including Executive Management, external vendors and PR agency. In addition to being strategic and creative, this position is also operational, requiring hands-on management of resources, workflow, budgets, and processes.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executes against and supports development of marketing communications plans, including messaging strategy, channel plans, to achieve marketing plan objectives and associated KPI’s for the Asuragen product portfolio including Dx, CDx and Custom Dx products.
Works cross-functionally with Product Managers to support value proposition development.
Works directly with external and/or internal creative partners providing strategic direction on concepts, copy and design while also managing project timelines and budgets.
Manages resources, workflow, and processes to enable efficient production of creative assets for marketing communications plans, including print, digital, direct response, trade shows, public relations, and social media.
Coordinates with the Digital Marketing Specialist on the implementation of the communications strategy for the company website, advertising and social media.
Directs the planning and execution of tradeshows and conferences.
Works with vendors and designers on print materials, purchasing, and production planning.
Provides guidance to business partners and staff on communications planning and strategy.
Gains subject matter expertise on company products and services, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, or related field
Must have a minimum of 5 years creating and developing advertising and marketing communications that drive brand preference
Must have experience developing creative concepts, pitching ideas to stakeholders and overseeing the implementation of multi-channel campaigns
Generate original creative ideas that achieve business objectives
