We are currently seeking a Oncology Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for building the US Bioservices (USB) Oncology Prescriber base, increasing referrals and closing business development opportunities within a specific geographic area. Additionally, the RSM promotes and delivers targeted programs and solutions, including data-based quarterly business reviews, in order to expand and/or retain existing business resulting in increased profitable revenues. The RSM is supported with in-market clinical experts focusing on the oncology therapeutic area. Key customers include, but are not limited to physicians, physician practices, nurses, social workers, physician office managers, acute care settings, hospitals, patients, health systems and patient organizations.
This position is a field based sales role that requires extensive travel including overnight travel within the designated territory covering AZ, CO, NM and Southern CA. The incumbent will ideally live in the greater LA, CA area.
US Bioservices has managed specialty pharmaceuticals since its inception in 1994. We use a national approach that recognizes the differences in regional care. We coordinate pharmacy, nursing and benefits so that the patient and the physician have fewer administrative concerns and can focus on achieving the outcomes they desire. Builds the USB Oncology Prescriber base, closes Prescriber voids and increases referrals by leveraging the new USB clinical sales team, programs and strategies to deliver annual sales targets
Identifies new Prescriber lead opportunities and at-risk accounts based on market analysis and internal reports; executes against leadership strategies and priorities as communicated.
Leads the development of an annual territory business plan with a prioritized approach to closing accounts consistent with strategic direction from Sales Director, Sales Ops and VP, Provider Relations
Promotes US Bioservices by utilizing current marketing programs, promotional materials, individual service line expertise and the entire ABC enterprise to differentiate USB from competition
Delivers sales presentations to customers including quarterly business reviews
Demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently work a large territory by appropriately prioritizing work activities and leveraging cross-functional partners to deliver territory results
Supports new drug launches and educates Prescribers on US Bioservices based on identified opportunities
Demonstrates initiative in their own professional development such as keeping abreast of the industry and its changes through the use of industry information and company literature
Participates in required sales training that will allow the US Bioservices sales force to continually be viewed as expert, consultative partners with all customers
Develops strategic relationships with key pharmaceutical company counterparts and is capable of leveraging those relationships toward a mutual benefit
Capable of owning/managing relationships within the C-suite and executive director level of accounts and non-profit organizations, both large and small
Ability to understand data, analytics, territory reports to effectively drive results and manage priorities/workload
Understanding of USB flagship program and experience with on-boarding new Prescribers; coordinates with Operations appropriately
Works closely with sales leadership to contribute to the strategic vision of the sales region and to support the deployment of clinical selling resources to meet Prescriber requirements
Provides reliable competitive intelligence
Utilizes US Bioservices reporting tools (CRM system, Salesforce.com), Qlikview, etc. to comply with corporate direction, expand/track current customer business, track and document sales leads and for other purposes as defined by management.
Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, including non-traditional hours/days (evenings and weekends) to achieve sales goals.
Represents US Bioservices at regional and national conferences, as needed (may include weekend travel commitments)
Must be willing to travel extensively within selected geographic territory; travels to events such as conferences, national and regional sales meetings as needed
Performs related duties as assigned
Compensation for this position includes base salary plus bonus, depending on company financial results and individual performance. Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or marketing strongly preferred. Normally requires five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience including Specialty Pharmacy Oncology experience (strongly preferred) Experience with salesforce/CRM preferred
Excellent consultative selling and follow-up skills
Proven ability to build base of business and close lead accounts
Documented ability to sell to physician offices or other medical setting
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail and process/deadline focused
Strong ability to prioritize work activities based on analytics and data; can effectively manage time and travel requirements for large geographic territory
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well and embraces cross-functional and internal/external partners
Strong presentation skills; able to adjust style and approach based on audience; has experience giving high level presentations to executives/decision makers
Ability to strive under pressure; able to effectively shift focus or priorities based on market changes, new business opportunities or adjustments to corporate tactical direction
Ability to work well on an independent basis; proactive self-starter; highly motivated
Solid understanding of Oncology therapeutic area; Oncology Prescriber and patient specialty pharmacy requirements
Strong understanding of value and profit; able to deliver results within team/company financial requirements
Strong creativity skills; focused and disciplined
Up-to-date knowledge of presentation software and equipment; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
