Prepare, analyze and evaluate complex proposal cost data utilizing established and innovative cost estimating methodologies and tools.
Leads the business areas with bid strategies / recommendations, financial analysis and risk / risk mitigation assessment.
Presents Finance content of Executive bid approval presentations.
Leads and trains staff and functional personnel in bid preparation, fact-finding / audits, negotiations, DOD certifications and ensuring compliance practices.
Serves as a consultant to management for complex business solutions, business planning, customer price volumes and understanding of processes / procedures.
Leads business case analysis when investment scenarios are required.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education:
Direct experience working a variety of proposal types, including - development, production, aftermarket, US Government, commercial and international.
Strong working knowledge and experience with the roles of all functions engaged in estimating a bid - engineering, operations, supply-chain management, contracts, program management, business development, etc.
Skilled and experienced with an understanding of the use and technical support of business systems / tools, including pricing software, MS Office tools, business case (NPV) models, program actual costs, costing build up, etc.
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with diverse working teams.
Capable of performing and leading in a dynamic and fast paced environment with rapidly changing requirements.
Preferred Skills and Education:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
Aerospace industry finance experience
Working knowledge of FAR and CAS regulations
Experience with using Propricer cost estimating software
Experience with staff development
