SUMMARY OF POSITION: nnThis position is accountable for the development and execution of the company's strategic communication plan to effectively present Fincantieri USA and its products to customers to attain company objectives. nnPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: nn n* Work with Fincantieri USA Marketing management to establish, endorse, implement and coordinate program promotion objectives, policies and plans covering all phases of activities. n* Assure the Fincantieri USA brand and sub-brands integrity and develop programs, collateral content and design to enhance the brand value. n* Dirct the approved trademark and graphic standards program on all graphic applications and at all locations. n* Manage marketing, public relations and communications for specific programs in partnership with the Fincantieri Marine Group PR and Communications Teams, collaborating with the U.S. Navy, contractors and vendors as needed. n* Act as the principal contact between the Group and agencies (advertising, public relations, social media, etc.), to ensure that approved procedures and expenditures are maintained, within the limits of approved budgets, plans and programs, . n* Maintain and monitor execution of annual media plan, in collaboration with external partnering agencies. n* Run periodical health check of Fincantieri USA website and sub-sites and trigger periodical discussions with Fincantieri USA Marketing management on website strategy and content. n* Participate in, or, when necessary, lead coordination of preparations and roll-out of annual plan of Fincantieri USA tradeshow presence. n* Coordinate timely development and execution of all major marketing programs, collect and evaluate relevant market data. Organize need and scope of project and benefits to obtain approval and funding. n* Regularly review competitor's products, programs, and marketing strategies to the extent possible, including analysis of competition's advertizing campaigns, websites, sponsorships, tradeshow presence, etc, and recommend and initiate actions to keep Fincantieri USA competitively positioned. n* Maintain a solid understanding of Fincantieri USA operations and procedures and good technical, commercial and competitive knowledge to provide proficiency and decisiveness on a dayu2011tou2011day basis. n* Develop customer engagement plans to focus our messages across the complete breadth of our customer base. n* Monitor and assess the impact of our communications efforts on our various customer audiences. Recommend and direct adjustments to our plan to maximize impact on our customer base. nnADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: nn n* Plan, manage and help implement the company's trade show marketing as well as coordinate and execute all aspects of major events for specific programs within the organization. n* Coordinate with and create materials in collaboration with our research, engineering and design and product line personnel, obtaining technical information, photos, illustrations and more to use in marketing communications strategies and tactics. n* Work collaboratively with our MarComm firms and agencies of choice to execute marketing and communications strategies and tactics. n* Proactively pitch stories, respond to inquiries and develop relationships with journalists, media outlets and publications specific to the shipbuilding and defense industries. n* Track media placements and social media content as well as develop content for communications and social channels specific to the assigned product lines within the company. n* Must be able to work in a multi-tiered global organization with colleagues in varying time zones and varying languages. n* Must be able to travel for trade shows and events for extended periods of time. nnEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB: nn n* Four-year degree in Marketing Communications/Advertising concentration. n* At least 1 year experience in an industrial environment. n* Knowledge and experience with our customer base. n* Solid writing skills, great creativity, precise attention to detail, and extreme detail to processes. nn nnFincantieri Marinette Marine offers competitive pay with benefits in a growth-oriented environment.
