Profile

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for providing marketing and communication support to Senior Brand Manager and Director of Marketing as well as execute sales support for the Fresh and PF business units of Wayne Farms.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Assist in updating information and messaging across all messaging platforms to include corporate website, corporate intranet, sales portal, POS materials, direct mail initiatives, etc.
Serve as internal marketing liaison, responding to internal corporate department requests for brand marketing assistance that might include logo retrieval or creative, project planning, etc.
Serve as customer and broker liaison responsible for preparing, printing and/or delivering logo image files, photography, presentation materials, POS materials, and more, upon request.
Assist in managing third party premium provider as well as Wayne Farms online store activity, inventory levels and billing activities.
Assist in pre-planning participation in trade shows, meetings and industry events, ensuring all associated functional groups have marketing and exhibit materials needed.
Support GS1 product data, collaborating with associated functional groups to obtain, deliver, update and maintain product data integrity for existing and new trading partners.
Aid in copywriting and distribution of broker announcements to include weekly IF price list notifications, periodic price list notifications, broker assignment announcements, price change notifications and more.
Support internal brands with creative and functional writing for collateral pieces, website content, announcements, digital content and more.
Collaborate with internal groups (Category Managers, Senior Brand Manager, Packaging Manager and all other internal departments) to obtain content and information for various marketing projects.
Perform additional marketing and communications duties as assigned by Senior Brand Manager and Director of Marketing.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None. This is an individual contributor position. Competencies required: Functional/Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, and Interpersonal Savvy
Manage several third party vendors.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (i.e. Marketing, Advertising, Business, etc.) from an accredited institution.
Internship revolving around marketing or related projects strongly preferred.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Familiar with Adobe Suite is a benefit, but not a requirement.
Must have exceptional communication, both verbal and written, and be comfortable writing many formats (announcements, press releases, digital content, meeting and training documents, etc.)
Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail (strong project management skills).
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative in planning, organizing and carrying out tasks.
Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency.
REQUIRED PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS:
Understand and interpret data while drawing logical conclusions based on available inputs.
Critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems.
Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Follow and ensure others follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently sit for long periods of time utilizing office equipment and/or computers.
Long periods of time requiring intense concentration in an open area office space.
Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
TRAVEL:
10% or less.
