What you’ll be doing…
The Web Editorial and Content Manager oversees and leads all web content and experience for our customers and prospects - images, copy, and video. This role is responsible for maintaining a high quality brand experience on tableau.com which includes content, the user experience, and the overall customer journey. This role will maintain brand, voice, and design integrity while supporting our creative and marketing teams to execute marketing initiatives, product releases, community, and learning. The Web Editorial and Content Manager ensures that content and experiences are thoughtful, compelling, and incorporate industry best practices to develop customer experiences and content that amplifies Tableau’s brand to the global market.
Some of the things you’ll be doing include …
Demonstrate a deep understanding of Tableau’s brand voice and product value.
Basic knowledge of web technology and measurement platforms.
Manage the content and experiences on www.tableau.com.
Demonstrated expertise in online publishing and content marketing.
Creates, maintains, and executes an online content calendar.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with solid decision-making skills and ability to drive an agenda that merges marketing priorities and customer needs.
Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to successfully present program recommendations and establish relationships with internal teams.
Demonstrated experience as a storyteller with an exceptional ability to think strategically and creatively, while staying on brand with tone and voice.
Strong writing and editing skills for marketing-oriented content, including but not limited to: website content, white papers, blogs, email, landing pages, and social media.
Strong narrative instincts: trained in how to tell a story using words, images, video, and an understanding of how to create content that reaches an audience.
Leverage data and insights to set goals, measure success, and continually refine our content mix and strategy.
Actively engage cross-functionally to establish, maintain, and foster close working relationships with stakeholders.
Monitors all digital/online content to verify and ensure all content complies with corporate brand standards, marketing style guides, and compliance/legal requirements.
Performs frequent reviews of site analytics to monitor user behavior, refine content and messaging strategies, and recommends changes to SEO/SEM as needed.
Develops and recommends to Marketing Leadership enhancements to make digital content more engaging and relevant.
Recommends changes to improve functionality, interactivity, and usability of tableau.com.
Mentors internal content authors, and serves as a subject matter expert to the marketing team and internal stakeholders
Who you are…
5-7 years’ experience in content strategy, copywriting, content creation, and user experiences.
Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, communications, marketing, advertising, design, or literature.
Knowledge of and comfortable discussing: marketing strategy, brand, design, online marketing, and website development. Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience working in Drupal content management systems a plus
