Position Summary

SALARY TARGET RANGE IS $57,000 - $67,000.

Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target.

Under supervision, develops original content and creative messaging that drives effective branded marketing communications across website, social platforms, digital displays, collateral, email and print advertising. Tracks and reports progress on related HR projects, business plan, and departmental contracts. Assists in determining, implementing, and evaluating business metrics that align with departmental strategic goals.

Primary duties and Responsibilities

Supports HR's strategic communications team by developing and implementing key messages to target internal and external audiences, while maintaining business standards and guidelines in accordance with Authority goals.

Develops marketing and outreach materials, including content development and coordination of design activities with staff.

Collaborates cross functionally to update content for digital display monitors on a monthly basis.

Pitches and drafts articles highlighting department accomplishments, initiatives, and other relevant topics for publication in internal and external media. Interacts with internal departments to establish uniform messages.

Meets with managers and executive leadership to solicit input while ensuring that HR's messages and communications are consistent and timely for all key audiences.

Plans, develops, implements and administers HR programs for company employees to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.

Facilitates communication in seminar/conference settings as well as among employees and management as it relates to the Performance Feedback program.

Works with business and department leaders to assess performance gaps and recommend appropriate HR based interventions as warranted.

Leads and/or supports organizational development and design projects that improve processes, structures, measures, and accountabilities with the ultimate goal to optimize the deployment of internal resources to achieve superior business results.

Provides subject matter expertise for HR analytics, reconciliation of metrics, and reporting for assigned projects, drive the implementation of standard measurement methodologies, and ensures that they are operationalized to measure effectiveness.

Assists with the identification and implementation of HR performance metrics, budget management policies, procedures and employee surveys as it relates to Human Resources.

Implements appropriate metrics to evaluate the success and impact of communications and business processes.

Analyze survey data, makes recommendation for improvements and packages for executives and key decision makers.

Performs data analysis of performance metrics and reports on findings as they relate to HR communications and operations.

Conducts budget and planning analysis and studies; assists in the preparation of financial materials, reports, and summaries.

Assists in developing and analyzing budget projections and resource implications of proposed spending; may act as departmental liaison and assist in resolving problems.

Identifies issues and makes suggestions regarding standardization, improvements, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods to increase unit efficiency. Maintains business standards and guidelines for communication in accordance with agency goals.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, Advertising, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field, plus one (1) year of project management or marketing and communications experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to this position.

Marketing and communications writing and training experience preferred.

Experience in creating social media content.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires sitting for extended periods of time, standing, visual acumen, manual dexterity, and fingering for working with computer key boards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Working knowledge of social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn).

Working knowledge of project management practice and methodology.

Working knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform via written, oral, and visual media.

Working knowledge of Human Resources functions.

General knowledge of online marketing strategies and marketing channels.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including: writing, proofreading, copy editing, ability to clearly communicate information effectively.

Strong detail orientation skills.

Intermediate project and time management skills.

Intermediate PC skills in Access, Excel, design software and content management systems.

Intermediate skill in using graphic editing and presentation software preferred.

Ability to construct and deliver creative content (text, image and video).

Ability to create original content and implement online and print marketing strategies.

Ability to function as a member of a team dedicated to quality deliverables and exceptional customer service.

Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.

Ability to work independently and be pro-active and self-motivated.

Ability to set high expectations and to see them through to success.
