We are hiring for a Finance Manager at our corporate offices in Bloomington, MN. The position is responsible for leading the financial support for the DSD (direct store delivery) and SG&A Departments of the Consumer Brands group for Schwan’s and related operations. You will provide financial reporting to assist the DSD, Sales, Marketing and Administrative groups to achieve their SG&A cost targets. You will also provide actionable KPI data to DSD management to assist in the control of manageable spend and results. This role includes significant interaction with the Supply Chain distribution, freight, fleet management, and route engineering functions where you will review and determine methods to achieve higher visibility to operational cost savings, waste and service opportunities. Great opportunity to be a key member of the route to market team to assess impact of structural changes to our overall operating network.
Responsibilities may include:
Lead all financial activities for the operating departments including coordinating and performing, planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and financial goal setting. Monitors attainment of financial and non-financial metrics for DSD team as well as other staff department budgets.
Work closely with the 3PD (3rd Party Distribution) team to establish metrics and financial goals in association with the 3PD network regarding sales growth and cost.
Supervise and mentor three financial analysts in the management of the various operating expense budgets for Consumer Brands.
Work collaboratively with all departments and other business units to achieve financial results via revenue growth and cost reductions.
Lead all financial activities for the operating departments including coordinating and performing, planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and financial goal setting. Monitors attainment of financial and non-financial metrics for DSD team as well as other staff department budgets.
Work closely with the 3PD team to establish metrics and financial goals in association with the 3PD network regarding sales growth and cost.
Lead analysis on Route-to-Market options with DSD manager regarding service options to customers.
Align with Supply Chain to establish the best methods and processes to limit unsaleable and age-out waste in the master depots.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
Years of Related Experience: Typically has a minimum of 8 to 10 years related experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Understanding of routes, transportation, supply chain and the effect of leverage within fixed cost structures
Experience mentoring and leading a team
Project Management Skills
Ability to influence across the organization
Excellent problem-solving skills
Advanced analytical skills
Ability to manage competing priorities
