We are seeking a senior partner marketing manager to lead the strategy and partner engagements across our Technology and Channel Partner businesses. The individual will have responsibility for shaping global strategy and US executions to drive growth through partner engagement, product launches/feature adoption and co-marketing events. They will work in partnership with teams across Microsoft Advertising, including sales, operations, business development, finance, legal, as well as product, brand and audience marketing.

Responsibilities


End-to-End Marketing Strategy: You will build the Annual Marketing Partner Engagement strategy for both channel partners and technology partners globally, establishing investment focus and priorities to ensure appropriate ROI. You will work in partnership with other sales and marketing teams to support the near and long-term strategy to drive partner satisfaction and growth.

Short term channel incentives governance: You will work in lockstep with finance and legal to ensure the short term incentive offerings are compliant, up to date on business requirements and relevant to the changing dynamics of the partner ecosystem.
Marketing tactics development: Ideate, create and execute results-driven one-to-one and one-to-many marketing initiatives to educate, inform, excite and incentivize partners to increase the adoption of Microsoft Advertising.
Partner Experience: Provide marketing leadership with a vision for mutual success globally and deliver a high-quality marketing partner experience (CPE).
Marketing Excellence in Execution: Execute initiatives and events in partnership with the channel partner and ecosystem sales account teams. Create marketing programs to enable our partners to amplify Microsoft’s adoption, especially around new customer acquisition. Feature adoption and growth.
Organizational Leadership: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Product leads on a frequent formal and informal basis to drive close alignment on strategies, tactics and execution and share successes and best practices among partner sales teams.


Qualifications


6 years of agency or partner marketing experience required
Success with building customer retention/loyalty/partner programs to increase customer life time value
Experience providing content and channel support for to and through partner acquisition and growth programs
Working with Research and/or Data Scientists to gather meaningful insights to improve programs
Search and/or digital advertising experience
Advertising partner ecosystem insight, including competitor landscape, emerging trends and knowledge of advertising business models
Deep marketing thought leadership and knowledge of effective marketing strategies, tactics and portfolio investments to maximize return on marketing investment
A passion for the customer and proven experience developing strong relationships with customers and partners
Experience managing marketing budget and ability to analyze and report on results to inform future budget investment
Demonstrated success driving cross-group communications and cooperation, using strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
International/global marketing experience preferred
Experience working with virtual teams and a true team player and collaborator
Embraces a growth mindset and Microsoft’s core value of respect, integrity & accountability
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
