and Responsibilities


The Media

planner would be executing day-to-day digital media planning/buying and

client service activities associated with assigned accounts, with an emphasis

on paid social management.

S/he would be responsible for all tasks related to supporting and assisting in

the planning process and preparation of media proposals, plans, budgets,

reports and analytics. Must have strong quantitative and analytical skills, and

collaborate with the digital marketing team in a fast-paced, results-oriented




Relationship Management:

  ·   At least 2 years of paid media


·   Able to work successfully, both

within a team and independently

·  Shows strong client service skills

·  Ability to communicate effectively

at all levels, as well as those outside the team

·  Works closely with

publishers/vendors to develop productive working relationships that drive

results for clients

·  Works directly in social interfaces

and, when applicable, leverages social support reps to drive results for


·  Stays up-to-date on paid social

landscape to learn about relevant offerings, new products, and trends



Planning/Buying (emphasis on Paid Social)


·  Conducts media research and

competitive analysis to support the development of media objectives

· Assists in the Request for Proposal

(RFP) process and communicates with publishers/vendors to obtain information

about their products

·  Assists in the development of media

plans that specify which forms of media will be used to effectively reach a

target audience

· Implements appropriate social

campaign objectives based on client goals

· Develops target segments to leverage

based on client feedback

· Ensures social tracking, audience

building, and billing is setup prior to campaign launch

·  Works with Creative team on ad development

to ensure creative is delivered to spec and supports media strategy

·  Works with Analytics and Ad Ops team

for any tagging/reporting requirements

·  Responsible for campaign reporting

activities based on agreed upon cadenceDraws critical analysis from data and

makes specific recommendations to optimize and improve campaign performance

· Provide maintenance for a media plan

once it has been implementented

·   Supports the needs of direct manager

and Media Supervisor




· Able to work successfully, both

within a team and independently

· Strong organizational skills and

attention to detail, with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving


· Effective time management skills

with the ability to multitask and prioritize

· Advanced Excel and Powerpoint

skills; intermediate Google Sheets and Slides skills

· Knowledge of specific Media Tools

(Facebook API, Twitter, DART, ComScore, etc.) is a plus but not required

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Previous internship experience in

Advertising, Marketing or Communications
