The responsibilities of the Director of B2B Planning and Strategy include the development, delivery and execution of a fully integrated marketing strategy across TCF’s B2B businesses. This encompasses brand strategy, development of strategic marketing programs and communications, as well as customer and industry insights.  Deliver a consistent go-to-market approach across all business lines while collaborating with internal Marketing Partners to leverage best practices and promote consistency.  Create mutual relationships with each business unit team to ensure all marketing efforts are performed in close collaboration with the functional teams (Sales, Product Owners, Customer Experience leaders, etc.).  Develop and execute best in class B2B acquisition and promotion plans to improve revenue growth, increase customer loyalty and retention while supporting the launch of new products.  In addition, this position is responsible to develop and implement tactical plans that will meet and/or exceed key metrics developed around meeting the annual profit plan for TCF.Major Areas of Accountability     Develop and support acquisition, relationship growth, and retention marketing strategies directed toward exceeding the annual financial planDesign and execute integrated B2B marketing plans by leveraging teams of cross-functional resources to attract, acquire, and nurture prospects as well as qualify sales readiness.  Channels may include traditional offline and online levers such as content publishing, SEO, webinars, tradeshows, paid print and digital advertising, automated marketing email campaigns, sales collateral and digital tools. Create and execute marketing promotions to reinforce the brand value proposition through unique and impactful strategies.  Ongoing management and oversight of the brand architecture and guidelines by serving as champion for both internal and external creative partners to ensure consistency and efficiency in deployment and sharing of information across functional business units.Prepare pre and post campaign proformas; establish and communicate relevant metrics for success; lead executive level evaluations of results with recommended areas for improvement.Lead the planning of business development events and tradeshow strategy. Obtain and perform ongoing analyses of the competitive environment from a product, advertising, and offer strategy perspective, assessing any potential competitive threats, and creating pre-emptive strike marketing plans and executions.Manage the day-to-day duties of a professional marketing team at multiple locations, leveraging their expertise for maximum impact per marketing dollars spent. Exercise authority concerning staffing, performance appraisal, promotions, salary recommendations, and disciplinary actions.Effectively manage the department functions while meeting and adhering to corporate, legal, and regulatory policies, guidelines, and requirements regarding compliance.  Work with the Compliance and Legal departments for overall updates, procedure changes or development, and resolution of issues.Partner with Customer Experience, Sales, Products, Digital, and business unit leadership to ensure the brand value proposition is clearly defined to our external Wholesale customers while creating and executing on go-to-market plans.','!*!QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent work experienceTen years of B2B marketing experienceFive years of experience in financial services or in a similar B2B marketing leadership roleKnowledge of banking products and sales deliveryDemonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, while applying sound business judgement and quantitative analyticsStrong analytical skills including the ability to use customer research, hard data, and external metrics to support intuition and assess the effectiveness of marketing programsStrong communication (verbal & written) and collaboration skills that build relationships and earn trust at all levels of the organizationThought leader with the ability to understand Wholesale business unit drivers and customer dynamics in digital media, advertising, mobile, finance, and high-tech industries Ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels and across the TCF organizationProven leadership and execution of digital marketing strategies and campaigns including dotcom, social and content strategiesConfident, driven and dynamic leadership skillsPreferred:Advanced degree in Business or Marketing.Build your career with TCFYou have room to grow at TCF.
