As a member of the Senior Leadership Team this position serves as the face of the customer to help the corporate organization realize a holistic view of the customer for well-rounded strategic planning and execution. Develop and monitor metrics for maximizing performance and establish annual budget targets for all products and channels. This position is responsible for building high impact organizations and will work closely with field leaders to recruit, retain, train, and motivate talented leaders and representatives. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Provides leadership to create and coordinate resources to achieve overall P&L and operating objectives. Implements programs to optimize profits for the overall organization.
Works with the senior leadership team to establish company vision and strategies, and effectively communicate and execute these strategies consistently across the entire company, with focus on assigned markets.
Ensures each assigned market organization is focused on productivity and service quality, and integrates all the functions to have a sound operation, which supports ongoing growth.
Hires, trains, motivates and guides Cox Media Vice Presidents, in assigned markets and channels. Ensures a participative work environment in each assigned market that will attract and maintain a workforce of talented and satisfied employees.
Develop and maintain market intelligence and an understanding of market and economic trends, client business needs, and industry reactions to the company's initiatives and industry environment.
Serve as company expert on sales. Inject sales philosophies, service requirements and accountability tools and measurements to be instilled throughout the organization.
Owns design of company-wide sales channel strategy with partner group VP to establish standards and boundaries for local implementation, ensuring each of their assigned market understands the strategy and executes across all channels and team members.
Lead development and implementation of sales structure in the local markets and new standardized sales channels designed to reduce cost to serve, lower churn, and ultimately increase revenue with all customer segments and drive high customer satisfaction.
Lead in the development of annual sales compensation design, documentation and execution of enterprise-wide sales plans.
Ensure the proper training / skill development and selection tools are available for sales reps in all channels to succeed.
Develops close partnership with other Group VP to ensure consistency in execution across all standardized roles, teams, strategies and tactics in all markets and sales channels. Work with the VP Marketing & Sales Services to analyze customer needs and data to effectively launch go-to-market strategies, leverage low-cost channels and shared client services, and streamline support processes and alignments.
Work with product management teams for effective product rollout in all assigned markets, budgeting and sales execution of each product, client feedback loop.
Ensure client needs are understood, appropriately emphasized to product development and management teams. Work cohesively with those teams to ensure product portfolio is customer centric.
Serve as the corporate voice of the customer ensuring client opinions, concerns and opportunities are represented internally.
Ensure positive customer perceptions by measuring internal performance and client satisfaction.
BS/BA degree in related field
Minimum of ten years' experience within the cable industry or relevant experience
Previous general management experience and demonstrated leadership ability in a progressive consumer-oriented environment
Strong verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated presentation skills
A strong bottom-line, market-driven orientation with the ability to translate ideas into tangible business plans
Functional experience that encompasses knowledge of advertising, marketing, sales, customer service, finance, human resources, and operations (including best practices)
