Segment is searching for a customer acquisition expert with deep knowledge in paid media and SEO channels to join our fast-growing marketing team. Key aspects of this role include using data to understand our products and customer behaviors to identify customer acquisition opportunities, run SEO and paid media experiments, and execute results-focused projects at scale. The ideal candidate for our team is someone who is obsessive over cost per acquisition (CPA) efficiency, identifying proven paid and earned channels with strong ROI, and has a proven track-record of success in regards to acquisition strategy and campaign management.

What you’ll do:

Grow customer acquisition and improve ROI efficiency for PPC ads, display ads, remarketing and other paid media channels

Research the relevant keyword universe and prioritize keywords and audiences to pursue based on external search demand internal business objectives

Identify technical and on-page improvements to grow organic traffic results

Forecast SEO/paid media performance, set targets, build reporting, and communicate pacing towards targets

Monitor day-to-day results for all paid and earned acquisition channels to provide direction for exceeding weekly/monthly/quarterly goals

Constantly optimize ad spend to ensure a strong ROI, and achieve results within allocated budget

Ensure accuracy and optimization of keyword selection, creative, ad copy, landing page accuracy, and bids

Ensure consistency across online ads to support the Segment brand tone and voice

You’re a great fit if:

You have 3 years of direct experience with building, executing, and optimizing successful SEO and paid media strategy

You have experience with ad management interfaces and bidding tools (Google, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, SEMRush, AdRoll)

You have experience with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, MOZ, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Buzzsumo, Screaming Frog)

You have superb quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and insights through data analysis

You have validated results driving paid and earned search initiatives at a high growth organization

You have a High capacity to execute in a fast-moving, dynamic, hyper-growth environment

You have a BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field

This role requires being **full-time** in our San Francisco office
