Job DescriptionOur client, a small ad agency (full service) with offices in NY and Europe is hiring a Senior Media Planner for a cross channel strategy role. This roles works across all media -- Digital and traditional (Broadcast, Print, Out of Home) in media and account management. Day to day responsibilitites include media strategy and planning, client management, supervision of ad operations, analytics (media performance and application) and accounting (supervision).This opportunity works closely with creative and account teams and often wears the hat of an account executive on some media only accounts. You will have a direct report, dedicated to your accounts, as well as support to execute ad operations, analytics and billing on your accounts.Role and Responsibilities :Media Strategy and PlanningOwn and manage media strategy and development, negotiation and managementResearch and identify new opportunities for client investmentApply media objectives, strategies, target audience analysis and communication plan creation on your accounts and manage junior staffWork daily with clients to manage account and participate in client presentationsAnalyticsWork closely with analytic group to set-up, implement and review media analytics on your accounts.Direct analytic as to your reporting needs and direct report creation and timelines for client presentations.Optimize digital media efforts based on performance data supplied to you by analytics teamProvide recommendations to for ongoing plan improvementsAd OperationsMonitor live campaigns for quality control and proper execution, ensuring junior staff has implemented and met timelinessCoordinate with internal and external creative partners to process and manage all assetsEnsure proper account set-up, delivery and execution by directing team members and external partners to ensure planned deliverables are met.Accounting & Investment ManagementCoordinate approved investment across client, publisher and internal accounting teamsDay to day plan updates based on client direction and/or market dynamics, manage junior planner tasksReview invoices to match planned spend and update plan, manage junior planner tasks.Qualifications and Education Requirements Candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must possess a proactive approach and be self-motivated and resourceful. The ability to multitask and prioritize across multiple projects is paramount along with the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills are crucial and must have full working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
