The Online Partnerships Group (OPG) uses our portfolio of product solutions, including AdSense and DoubleClick tools, to help online publishers grow their businesses. You'll provide innovative, industry-leading online advertising solutions for publishers and developers and proactively identify new opportunities. Some of the largest publishers on the web rely on our products and we're always trying to exceed their expectations and strengthen our long-term partner relationships. Our team helps grow Google's business with the largest online publishers and provides account management for users of AdSense, DoubleClick and more.

This team is responsible for growing Google's business with the largest online publishers by providing exceptional sales account management for DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP). The team’s primary duties include developing relationships with and supporting growth for its largest and most strategic online publishers and media clients. As a Platform Strategic Account Manager, you are responsible for high-level relationship management, new product adoption and cross-product support. You will also work alongside project managers and other internal stakeholders to develop Google’s publisher-facing strategies and products.

Our Partnerships team members expand and nurture these relationships by continually finding new opportunities and solving technical problems for our partners.


Gain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and organizational structures to identify and execute opportunities for existing clients.

Participate in discussions on DFP product terms and rates with C-level contacts.

Enhance the experience of the most strategic online publishers by developing strong relationships with C-level contacts and by providing exceptional client services.

Understand and manage client expectations throughout all phases of the sales cycle. Actively solicit customer feedback and work with Product Management to communicate customer needs, enhancements, and priorities.

Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and identify risks to the business, taking preemptive action to mitigate. Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of Google’s products and services.


Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

2 years of experience in a client facing or sales position.

Knowledge of DFP suite of products. Understanding of or experience working with third party ad serving tools, yield optimization platforms, and/or digital advertising workflow management and analytics tools.

Preferred qualifications:

Media oriented enterprise platform sales experience with a strong background in online sales and industry publisher experience and exposure; Proven success in business development, client relationship and servicing skills.

Online advertising industry experience specific to ad serving or yield optimization

Deep cross-functional understanding of media businesses and management operations within the digital media ecosystem.

Ability to interpret legal documents, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.

Demonstrated success at working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments.
