The Creative Director is responsible for organizing and leading teams and participating in the concept, writing, art direction, print production supervision, and broadcast production supervision, for all types of advertising. This includes print advertising, television advertising, radio advertising, collateral materials, brochures, point of purchase materials, self-promotion items, websites, interactive materials and all miscellaneous assignments that might arise. Great creativity is a priority. An ability to work in a team, lead, coach and work well with writers and art directors in group setting is essential.
Works with full-time and freelance Art Directors, Writers and Agency Broadcast Producers in development of ad campaigns and concepts for print, broadcast, web interactive, direct mail and other forms of promotion for agency and clients
Provides guidance and teaching of techniques to art directors and writers
Leads teams in concepting to ensure they are on strategy and making progress
Writes creative content, which help to build awareness of client product benefits and stimulate sales
Strives for ideas that go beyond the expected and tap into cultural trends and beliefs and also moves the consumer emotionally
Presents creative ideas to clients which includes live reads of television spots to clients either live or via conference call. Also needs an ability to walk through print ideas in similar informative and engaging manner.
Has visual oversight of creative product from inception through completion to help ensure a high level of quality and integrity of concept through approval of idea
Attends television shoots, radio product ions and still photo shoots to ensure that creative idea remains intact and is as impactful as possible
Directs/pushes talent (through appropriate channels i.e. via director/producer/creative director) to try different motivations and attitudes for characters
Works with creative directors/producers/ production companies/editors to achieve interesting camera angles, film techniques and editing styles
Understands client strategies and creates work that is in line with those strategies
Meets with clients to gain understanding and insight into their products and services
Researches clients’ products/services/ image to ensure ability to create accurate, on -target concepts for assigned projects
Works to ensure copy/concepts serve the purpose of selling the client’s product/service/ image first and foremost, according to the strategic creative plan
Assists in developing creative strategies
Is a Team Player - looks for assignments when workload is light and wants to help others to better their assignments and take concepts originated by writers or producers and make them the best they can be.
Is punctual, on time to meetings, both internally and with clients, and shows up to internal creative meetings with well thought out ideas

Supervises & directs the production of radio and television production
Supervises time lines to ensure work is done on deadline
Supervises Jump Ball Freelance Assignments
Fosters a positive attitude among fellow agency associates
Attends status meetings
Controls all G&A expenses as allowable
Completes expense reports no longer than 30 days after expense incurred
Adheres to all company policies
Assists with other agency projects, as requested
10+ years’ related experience, preferably at advertising agency
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or 10 plus years’ related experience &/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience.
Experience managing teams and motivating individuals-has a history of leading productive teams and developing talent.
Experience of managing visual oversight of creative product from inception through completion to ensure high level of quality and integrity of concept
Experience with developing multicultural ad campaigns targeting African Americans and Hispanics.
Ability to effectively present creative ideas to top management, co-op groups, owner operators and clients.
MS Office, Advantage, Adobe CS (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), PowerPoint, operate color printers (large format and fiery) successfully
