Position can be based in NYC, Upstate NY, the Carolinas, or Orlando / Tampa, FL. Employer Reach is the advertising sales division of Charter Communications, Inc. Essential Job Functions: This person reports to the enterprise sales leader for Employer News and will lead Employer News sales efforts across all markets in both the South and Northeast divisions where Charter Communications operates an Owned and Operated news channel. Essential Job Competencies: Achieving assigned Employer News revenue budgets Contributing in the creation and implementation of a sales strategy that is scalable across all assigned Employer News markets within the South and Northeast divisions Managing compliance across all systems and processes within assigned Employer News markets Rate & inventory management Sponsorship value proposition Positioning the brand for success within the advertising community Creating value for our AEs and sales leaders who are selling Employer News Interacting closely with the enterprise sales leader in monitoring and managing personnel, revenue & budgets across assigned markets Hiring Sales Managers to oversee each State or DMA within the South and Northeast divisions where Charter Communications owns Employer News channels Working closely with the Employer Networks News Directors to drive revenue without damaging the brand and its growth Working closely with Employer News Marketing teams on both linear and digital sales opportunities Working with Employer Reach Research team on relevant positioning and sales opportunities Working with Kernel on video billboard integration for all news sponsorships across the enterprise Working with Employer Reach Field Marketing team on lead generations and support materials Hosting a weekly 1:1s with Employer News sales managers within the South and Northeast Traveling to each market at least 1x each quarter to meet with Employer News managers, Director of Sales, Account Executives, advertisers and prospective advertisers Develop, train, and participate in relevant calls with sales team to maximize advertising revenue and market share from accounts in the assigned vertical Motivate RVPs, DOSs, LSMs and AEs to deliver required news revenue goals Achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales quota for divisions Planning and host an annual on-site, one day team building meeting with the South and Northeast division Employer News sales managers Working cross functionally with Divisional Vice President and Regional Vice Presidents across the South and Northeast division to understand their growth strategies and how/where Employer News can play a key role in contributing. Education and Experience Requirements: 8-10 years in related news media/advertising Sales with a proven successful track record of meeting and exceeding goals. 5 years of Sales leadership experience; preferably within news. Proven track record of inspiring and building client strategy teams. Deep knowledge of advertising infrastructure, ad operations, data analytics, yield analysis, advanced Digital media platforms, Interactive Media, client & relationship development. Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills. Critical thinking, problem solving, and superior customer focus. Strong strategic, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, presentation and time-management skills and ability to execute initiatives within the team and company as well as customers. An innate desire to build lasting partnerships with both internal and external customers. Education Bachelors degree is preferred.
