Role Summary:
The Store Experience Copywriter is a strategic thinker and can envision impactful ways to communicate solves
to the customer problems. A skilled wordsmith and problem-solver who can translate complex ideas and business requirements into clear, concise, friendly language that customer can use to make purchasing decisions. The Store Experience Copywriter will develop and write all store content to help create intuitive, engaging experiences for customers through signage via digital or print formats. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping and defining **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s digital and print experience for the store.
This candidate will work with others on the UX, marketing/creative team to better understand project expectations, produce content with the needs of the client or employer in mind, participate in the brainstorming process, and conduct research to develop or support writing.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualize, research, write and edit copy that meets **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. standards in communicating to internal and external audiences (accuracy, tone, style, brand and business objectives, and grammar).
Speaking with internal and external parties to learn about their content needs
Take initiative in generating ideas and suggestions on content strategy and solutions and other aspects of the user experience. Conducting research to formulate ideas or support writing – research skills
Understands user needs, business goals, and the experience flow for each project
Interpret campaign style guides and vendor requirements, bringing them together into engaging customer experiences.
Adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
Able to articulate the rationale for decisions
Client Relationship
Consult with business teams, UX and Marketing teams and function as a Subject Matter Expert for copy needs and usage for the store. Requires close partnership with Marketing Creative Services and UX, Account Managers and designers to develop the right communication tools that are simple to understand and can consistently be represented in store
Influences and educates merchant and vendor on Copy Standards and Brand guidelines
Change Management Skills
Support current processes and proactively identify areas for improvement
Actively engages in new initiatives and/or acts as catalyst for change
Must be able to address conflict in a healthy way to advocate for change, bring cross functional partners together to share knowledge and devise a better outcome for the customer
Has a positive attitude and collaborative spirit
Experience:
3 years of direct copywriting experience
Understanding of retail marketing experience and best practices for writing for the digital and print experiences
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Strong portfolio of work demonstrating ad writing, content writing and digital abilities
Nice-to-haves:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite
Bachelor’s degree
Familiarity with UX research and usability testing
Experience in e-commerce or retail
