Job DescriptionThe Self-Service Advertising team offers self-service, cost per click advertising solutions that help vendors and sellers increase visibility and sales of their products on Amazon.com. Examples of solutions already in the market include Sponsored Products and Amazon Marketing Services. We are building a team which will own marketing analytics and provide actionable insights to our partner teams and our advertisers to make high impact business decisions. This is a critical role and your analytics efforts will influence account optimization, growth, retention, and reactivation at scale to thousands of advertisers.Do you enjoy transforming data into actionable insights? To succeed in this role you should be passionate about working with large datasets and be someone who loves to bring data together to answer key business questions. You should have deep expertise in the creation and management of datasets and the proven ability to translate the data into meaningful insights. You should have a solid understanding of efficient and scalable data mining and an ability to use the data in financial and statistical modeling. In this role, you will have ownership of end-to-end development of solutions to complex questions and you\u2019ll play an integral role in strategic decision-making.The successful candidate will be comfortable with advanced SQL query design and data mining techniques, have strong analytical and communication skills, and have a passion for using data to drive business decisions. You attack complex business questions with data and curiosity, diving below the surface to identify the root cause. You develop strong working relationships with business partners to define and understand key business questions and analyze data to answer those questions \u2013 driving strategic business decisions.
Basic Qualifications· BA/BS Degree · 3 years professional experience in analytics or other quantitative disciplines · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and analyses implications clearly to a wide audience, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses. · Experience with modeling and analysis including statistical analysis, operations research and management science and data mining · Proficient in SQL and Excel and able to access and transform data into insights · Experience with visualizing data with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Preferred Qualifications· Knowledgeable in demand modeling, multi channel attribution, pricing optimization, and customer/product segmentation · M.S. in a quantitative field such as Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or Operations Research. · Project Management Experience · 5 years of relevant work experience in data science, business analytics, finance, business intelligence (BI), or comparable analytics positions handling large, complex data sets
