Organization Overview: Citi FinTech is our “Bank of Tomorrow” we build, empower and drive cutting edge products and services on our mission to improve people’s lives through the use of technology. We will design and deliver mobile-first capabilities leveraging our internal strength and accessing the best capabilities available in the FinTech space across the full range of client services: borrow, spend, save, invest and protect. Our first focus is on the delivery of a mobile banking application for our NA CG client base/target audience.
Position Overview: The Product Marketer for Citi FinTech will work closely with the Head of B2C Marketing for Citi FinTech and respective project stakeholders to execute product and campaign marketing strategy for products and programs within Citi FinTech scope.
The Product Marketer (PM) will work with product stakeholders from product inception through initial growth stages to align marketing and product requirements with industry best practices and market opportunity. Throughout this process work may be with external partners and across lines of business, in close collaboration with GCB, GPA and GEM teams. A core function of this role is partnering with industry leaders to expand on Citi FinTech’s marketing and advertising reach. PM will need technical experience with ad tech and marketing tech in relation to mobile, social and search to vet for best-fit partners. The person will represent Citi FinTech internally and externally in as well as at public speaking events.
Product marketing out of Citi Fintech is strictly mobile first. However other programs or opportunities may dictate that more traditional methods also be leveraged. Executing across channels requires expertise in digital along with familiarity in traditional marketing communications tactics, including events marketing, traditional marketing communications, PR (in coordination with GPA) and influencer marketing. The PM should use visibility of position to carry voice and intent of Citi FinTech both internally across the organization and externally to partners. Because of the startup nature of Citi FinTech the PM should be proficient in executing against ad hoc challenges.
As FinTech continues to evolve and look for new solutions to drive towards our mobile first strategy, this person will lead a team of people from our different agencies that will activate on our product marketing strategy(s). The product marketer will report to the Head of B2C Marketing, Citi FinTech.
Key Responsibilities specific to the Product Marketer role include:
Manage marketing operations and tactics to meet needs of product or program specifications and measures of success.
Track marketing success for given campaigns against measures of success agreed to by product or program stakeholders
Work closely with research team to ensure insights are incorporated with product specific marketing and communications plans
Partner with external stakeholders to ensure channel placement, plan forecasting and tracking are established to measure against and meet goals of product or program campaigns.
Partner with product or program stakeholders to develop campaigns from production brief to campaign completion
Expert knowledge level of ad tech and marketing tech trends and opportunities related to digital, mobile and social marketing use cases.
Be central reference point for collating and sharing martech landscape insights, in support of Head of B2C Marketing
Be central reference point for sharing competitor insights and articulating consumer journey’s through the marketing funnel, in support of Head of B2C Marketing
Serve as internal marketing consultant to adjacent Citi FinTech and marketing teams (eg. Citi Tech for Integrity), which may have intermittent need for market strategy or execution support.
Support Head of B2C Marketing with ad hoc, marketing labs or other product-independent projects
Support CMO of Citi FinTech on an as-needed basis and in line with Head of B2C Marketing’s initiatives.

Ability to work with key partners to identify cutting edge marketing techniques and find ways to test and learn within the FinTech model.
Provide support to the Global Public Affairs team to help advance their strategy for press engagement and activation.
Work with internal partners (e.g GCB, Enterprise) on Citi-wide on cross functional initiatives that support Citi’s broader digital strategy.','!*!Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in digital marketing or related field
Core competencies in digital(search, social, mobile) campaign management and the digital advertising landscape
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required, MBA preferred
Experience working in large-scale, highly matrixed corporate environment preferred
Enthusiastic and self-motivated to execute on goals in support of team objectives
Gets hands dirty – rolling up sleeves and working through ambiguity
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret product or program goas against the greater Citi and Citi FinTech position.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional time management
Ability to condense complex marketing data and reports into succinct executive summaries and recommendations
Capable of communicating at all levels, including executive and c-level internal and external stakeholders or partners
Capable of executing under tight deadlines and works well under pressure in a fast paced, multi-tasking, startup environment
