Works with client and account teams to develop objectives and strategies for media buys and to determine the mix of advertising outlets used for campaigns. Creates and implements a plan to meet strategic media-related objectives within an established budget. Tracks, analyzes and interprets results of advertising expenditures. What you will do every day: Leads annual media planning and strategy discussions internally and with clients Works closely with all assigned media personnel in the group with evaluation of media information necessary for the preparation of the media plan that best achieves the media objectives and strategies Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for all media/markets Utilizes media research, audience insights data analytics to determine an optimal media mix Masters and teaches the use of agency and media industry tools and systems Writes or oversees the writing of the final media plans and recommendations, presents to internal teams and clients Works with Account Service in planning overall budgets and developing media objectives, strategies, target audiences and KPIs for measurement Supervises the implementation and evaluation/tracking of all approved media plans and projects Responsible for overall annual media budgets for assigned clients Maintains the best possible relationship with clients, account service, creative/other agency departments and media representatives Helps to train buyers and planners in proper methods of preparing, evaluating, and implementing media plans Keeps up with latest trends/events in advertising and client related industries Organizes and leads regular internal client status meetings Participates in new business project assignments Conducts performance evaluations of direct reports Involved in recruiting, interviewing and hiring new employees Attends agency and departmental training and events Mentors, trains and guides junior team members
