Ref ID: 00610-9501065328Classification: Media PlannerCompensation: $30.00 to $38.00 per hourThe Creative Group has an opportunity for a Media Planner. Works with client and account teams to develop objectives and strategies for media buys and to determine the mix of advertising outlets used for campaigns. Creates and implements a plan to meet strategic media-related objectives within an established budget. Tracks, analyzes and interprets results of advertising expenditures. What you will do every day: • Leads annual media planning and strategy discussions internally and with clients • Works closely with all assigned media personnel in the group with evaluation of media information necessary for the preparation of the media plan that best achieves the media objectives and strategies • Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for all media/markets • Utilizes media research, audience insights data analytics to determine an optimal media mix • Masters and teaches the use of agency and media industry tools and systems • Writes or oversees the writing of the final media plans and recommendations, presents to internal teams and clients • Works with Account Service in planning overall budgets and developing media objectives, strategies, target audiences and KPIs for measurement • Supervises the implementation and evaluation/tracking of all approved media plans and projects • Responsible for overall annual media budgets for assigned clients • Maintains the best possible relationship with clients, account service, creative/other agency departments and media representatives • Helps to train buyers and planners in proper methods of preparing, evaluating, and implementing media plans • Keeps up with latest trends/events in advertising and client related industries • Organizes and leads regular internal client status meetings • Participates in new business project assignments • Conducts performance evaluations of direct reports • Involved in recruiting, interviewing and hiring new employees • Attends agency and departmental training and events • Mentors, trains and guides junior team members

Job Requirements
• Bachelors Degree, preferably in Marketing or related field • 5-6 years of media planning/buying experience required • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills) • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail required • Strong analytic skills and ability to relate results to client business objectives • Proficient at managing multiple projects and able to multi-task, prioritize and structure workload • Superior leadership skills and proven ability to work well in a team environment • Independent worker and a self-starter • Ability to work with agency accounting system and/or other media planning and media research specific software, including MS Office programs • Team Player: Recognizes that relationships are critical to success and consistently adds value, improves strategies, and delivers instructional guidance to all levels and teams • Business Strategist: Must demonstrate a strong understanding of the client's business/brand, objectives, the consumer journey, and the marketplace to identify meaningful insights • Results-Oriented: Understands the breadth and depth of media analytics and is able to tell the story about how these analytics contribute to marketing ROI • Trend Spotter: Is one of the first people to identify the trends and technology shaping the future of media and can translate these it into simple Points of View that make them relevant for clients and account/creative teams • Master of Execution: Knows that ideas mean nothing without solid execution and is able to manage a cross-functional team to ensure results • Inspiring Leadership: Knows how to build sustainable teams that are greater than the sum of their parts from the ability to mobilize, supervise, and motivate diverse teams • Multi-Media Knowledge: Understands and integrates digital, offline and social media in order to effectively reach the right audience and deliver results APPLY: Qualified candidates, please send your resume to Only candidates who meet these requirements will be contacted.At TCG, we're committed to you from the moment you sign up.
