Position Summary

The marketing manager develops marketing strategies, tactics and plans to position Weaver’s brand and expertise to its target audiences, to expand brand recognition across markets, and to generate leads to drive revenue growth. This role is a key contributor to achieving the firm’s and the marketing department’s strategic objectives and goals. This person works with a team of direct reports, the marketing director and firm leadership (including service line and industry partners in charge) to put marketing communications tactics and processes in place and refine key messages ongoing. The marketing manager helps manage the firm’s brand, graphic guidelines and communication standards and deliverables internally and externally. The scope of deliverables and areas of oversight include a myriad of external and internal communications and marketing channels—marketing collateral, CRM, thought leadership content, advertising, events, sponsorships, social media, electronic newsletters and other client/prospect digital communications, public relations and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with marketing director, direct reports on the marketing team and firm leadership to develop and execute targeted marketing plans

Work with partner and director stakeholders to develop and execute consistent and multi-channel marketing and communication strategies (internal and external) that are part of broader practice and industry marketing and business development plans

Manage numerous marketing team members in a direct report capacity, assisting them with day-to-day project execution and prioritization, as well as training and career development

Manage key messaging and marketing deliverables across channels to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy

Manage our CRM platform, data integrity processes, and ongoing user expansion and adoption strategies and projects.

Measure marketing activities and initiatives by tracking metrics and determining ROI

Research clients / prospects, competitors and markets as needed to assist with specific business development and marketing activities

Manage marketing-related vendors to ensure the firm receives consistent service, timely delivery and value as agreed upon

Help evolve and maintain brand standards internally and externally

Assist in the development and ongoing management of the marketing budget and strategic objectives

Adhere to the firm’s policies and procedures and core values, demonstrate their importance to others, and provide input to management on suggested modifications to firm policies and procedures as necessary

Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related business discipline

8 years of relevant marketing communications experience

Broad-based experience with B2B marketing communications; accounting and/or professional service firm experience preferred


Top-notch people management and development skills

Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality assurance, while also thinking big picture and strategically

Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to create original content and edit the work of others

Ability to effectively manage deliverables and project execution in a fast-paced environment of internal and external resources (team members and vendors) to accomplish objectives

Working knowledge of various marketing automation technology, email platforms, graphic design programs, CRM platforms, etc.

Ability to balance many marketing plans and assignments simultaneously, prioritizing accordingly to meet and manage deadlines

Ability to interact and communicate effectively with partner stakeholders across the firm

Commitment to maintaining and continuously improving knowledge of the firm and its service offerings, marketing best practices

Commitment to evolving ongoing how the firm leverages marketing best practices and technologies to create opportunities and drive revenue growth

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills

Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Ability to use excellent judgment, handle confidential matters appropriately, display a professional demeanor and adhere to the firm’s core values

Work Environment Conditions

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work with exposure to noise at various levels for an office environment.

Ability to type on a keyboard and look at computer screen for 8 hours or more a day.

Ability to handle deadline pressure as it applies to the department engagements.

Overtime may be required.

Ability to lift approximately 40 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 75 pounds on an infrequent basis.

Ability to move, stoop, and/or bend over repeatedly as needed to reach files, workpapers, and other office materials.

Position requires tolerance for moderate stress.

Minimal travel required between firm offices when necessary.
