Disney ABC Sales is seeking an exceptional candidate to support the sales organization in two key areas - Advanced Advertising and Sales Operations. The VP will report directly to the SVP, Audience Solutions and work closely with Sales Management and the Technology team to create a roadmap of new advanced advertising tools across all platforms. In addition, the VP is responsible for the development and implementation of sales process across the organization.
This role will lead the implementation of solutions with the Technology team focused on increasing revenue from audience driven sales and streamline workflow to improve operational efficiencies. The focus would be on Audience Optimization, Addressability, Programmatic Solutions, and Automation.
The VP would work to evangelize and educate the Disney ABC Sales team on the overall data and platform strategy:
Identify data need and gaps, and partnerships to satisfy those needs
Working closely with the Revenue & Yield team to create pricing models and optimize inventory based on data driven initiatives
Working closely with the sales team and clients to best identify opportunities and new revenue streams
Client facing expert on Disney ABC advanced ad products and represents Disney ABC ad sales at various industry events and associations
Additionally, the VP would work closely with the Technology team to champion sales projects with internal and external vendors to maximize revenue and resources.
Oversee the development of new sales processes and training
Identify and recommend new processes to enhance efficiency
Maintain communication with key stakeholders on multiple projects
Measure advancements and outline potential increase in ROI
This team maintains a strong understanding of industry demands, advertising solutions and business process. The VP will be responsible for overseeing a project team consisting of the following:
Advanced Advertising Solutions - (1) Director and (1) Manager
Sales Operations – (1) Director, (2) Managers
Basic Qualifications :
At least 10 years of total experience working and leading programmatic and/or data-driven TV sales operations
Strong understanding of emerging data and technologies and how they can be leveraged to create new cross platform advertising solutions
Understanding of the TV ecosystem and inner workings (e.g., local broadcast, MVPDs, dMVPDs, ATSC3, etc.)
Expertise with common linear and digital data sets and practices: measurement data (e.g., Nielsen, set top box, ACR, etc.), other syndicated data (e.g., NBI, NCS, MRI, Simmons), survey data, social data, data onboarding, etc.
Understanding of programmatic solutions and technology providers for both digital and linear
Understanding of data, data collection, and privacy
Understanding of media mix, attribution, and ROI methodologies
Highly analytical candidate who can evaluate vendor solutions, implement new process, and manage large-scale projects with various stakeholders
Excellent communication and writing skills
