As part of the advertising business marketing team, you will act as the voice of the client, putting them at the center of your decision-making. As Manager, Marketing Capabilities Manager, you will be responsible for building, implementing, and managing processes and best practices that ensure marketing’s work is repeatable, measurable, scalable, and not tied to any one individual contributor. You’ll facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and ensure compliance with brand standards. You’ll build and integrate transparency, efficiency, effectiveness, and measurement into all areas of marketing and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lay the foundation for our ability to create efficiencies and scale our marketing efforts
● Act as a liaison between multiple teams across **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. with the data inputs critical to our storytelling & collateral
● Institute processes and tools for how to use, store, update, and archive all marketing resources, including a system for the team to request new assets when needed
● Establish and communicate clear best practices for how to work with the ad business marketing team and streamline cross-departmental collaboration
● Build our use of data, tools, and technology within the marketing department
● Ensure we are maintaining brand standards and compliance across all areas of the business
● Build collaboration and creative processes within the marketing function
● Scope, source & prioritize marketing and comms tools (e.g., email marketing tool, social channels)
● Establish set of processes, tools, and systems to measure the success of our marketing efforts
Basic Requirements:
● Ability to self-start, organize, and prioritize
● High degree of vision and creativity for building and delivering new solutions and ideas
● Strategic, curious and influential leader who can uncover connection points and drive ambiguous work forward within a complex organization
● Understanding of B2B marketing and marketing operations with experience in advertising, media, publishing or similar industry
● Optimistic, collaborative problem-solver who can work cross-functionally
● Demonstrated record of building influence and consensus across departments
● Proactive, solution-oriented critical thinker with a high attention to detail
● Life-long learner that will continue to stay up to date on the latest marketing technologies and best practices
● Demonstrated program or project planning and management experience
● Ability to translate highly complex or technical topics in digestible/human language
● 5 years progressive experience in marketing, operations, project management, or product management
● 2 years of cross-functional leadership experience (direct or indirect)
● Experience building a function from the ground up strongly preferred
