The Content Marketing Intern will develop, write, and edit original copy for dynamic, marketing-focused websites, B2B websites, and other interactive properties. This person works as part of an assigned team that includes a web designer and web programmer. It is the Content Marketing Intern’s task to shape overall marketing messages into compelling content.
The ideal Content Marketing Intern candidate will:
Be responsible for writing copy and developing content for agency and client interactive/web properties to meet client strategic planning objectives
Work with assigned web designers and web programmers to merge copy and content into chosen site architecture as a dynamic element of site concept
Select product/service features and content targeted to selected marketing audiences
Coordinate interactive/web content with other client promotional and marketing materials to ensure copy and content is current and supports/enhances overall strategic marketing plan(s)
Prepare website and interactive property content to be implemented by the web programmer
Create and maintain copy style guides for agency and client interactive/web properties.
Ensure interactive/web copy and content is proofed and correct prior to presentation to clients, and again before final upload to live websites and interactive/web properties.
Work collaboratively with the web designer and web programmer to prepare interactive/web design projects for presentation/demo to the appropriate personnel and if approved, to current and/or potential clients
Assist in writing interactive/web project proposals and marketing plans
Research clients’ products/services/brand/image/competition to ensure ability to write accurate, on-target copy/concepts for assigned interactive/web projects
Responsible for maintaining a reference library of client source materials, client competitors’ marketing and advertising efforts, and all other relevant client information
Assist in measurement and tracking of web/interactive property effectiveness with intention to continually improve functionality and attract additional traffic
Create concepts, develop content for, and assist in launching a variety of online advertising formats (banner ads, buttons, interstitials, videos, etc.)
Applicants should have some college experience or above; journalism/english/communications experience preferred
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to prioritize and “shift gears” as needed
Crazy awesome communication skills (both verbal and written)
A proactive work ethic while managing your own workload as well as others’
Accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes
Enthusiastic, kick-ass attitude
Ability and desire to learn and keep up with the ever-changing digital marketing space
Local Candidates Preferred
Agency experience is preferred.
