Reporting directly to Vice President of External Communications, is responsible for developing and managing our social media center of excellence at the UnitedHealthcare corporate level. You will create and lead a first of its kind umbrella organization for social media, working with social media teams across the lines of business to maximize our return from this ever-growing communications channel.
Youll be working alongside local and national communications teams to make social media a success. In doing so, youll develop new means for evaluating and measuring our impact. Additionally, youll work across the organization and our lines of business to create content and campaigns that drive UnitedHealthcares reputation as a result of this work.
This role interfaces regularly with the UnitedHealthcare Executive leadership and other leaders across the enterprise.
Establish relationships with our social platform partners, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Lead the selection of a social media buying platform
Improve measurement and reporting capabilities to evolve social media analytics from a reporting approach to a insights driven one
Collaborate with lines of business to create best practices, establish a knowledge base of documentation / 1-pagers
Manages social media governance across the organization
Manage partnerships to ensure deadlines, deliverables and outcomes are met
Works with UnitedHealthcare leadership to understand what unique opportunities exist in social to drive their objectives
Builds internal and external social media plans to drive awareness and visibility for the reputation enhancing programs
Understands business dynamics, cycles, products and marketing initiatives and helps identify, prioritize and execute content initiatives
Develops and manages budgets for social media projects and annual plans
Will manage a team and will be expected to provide active coaching and development.
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising or the equivalent
10 Years of communications, digital marketing, social media or journalism experience
2 years of experience in project management and/or leading program delivery teams
5 years of experience in a matrix organization
5 years of experience building relationships with internal stakeholders
Proven ability to implement and deliver program objectives across geographies and through multiple remote and/or external teams
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong executive presence, including a history of presenting to Sr. Executives
History of quickly gaining credibility, partnering with business leaders and exhibiting executive presence
Excellent consultative, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Experience with program measurements and metrics, particularly within the social media vertical
History of effectively driving results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with high degree of organizational change and comfort with ambiguity
Ability to champion continuous change and consult with versatility
